The Project Management Institute
San Francisco Bay Area Chapter
As a Graphic Designer for the Project Management Institute, San Francisco Bay Area Chapter, I drive event registration by creating compelling visuals for social media channels and email campaigns. My designs attract local attendees by highlighting renowned speakers, promoting professional development benefits, and representing the Bay Area's diverse community. I ensure all visuals adhere to the global organization's brand guidelines, directly contributing to the chapter's mission of advancing the project management profession.

Professional Development Day
The annual Professional Development Day (PDD) offers an essential learning and networking opportunity to the local Project Management community. For PDD 2025's theme, "Beyond Automation: Lead with Purpose in the AI Era", I played a key role in the event's success. My design contributions included a specialized social media campaign, an adapted company logo, and all on-site signage for the largely attended event.

What I've Learned: Designing for PMI has been an incredible learning experience. I have mastered maintaining brand consistency while delivering high-volume designs across various marketing channels. Furthermore, I developed stronger communication and collaboration skills by working effectively with my core marketing team and representatives from other key departments. This practical experience has significantly enhanced my abilities as a designer and creative professional.
With More Time and Resources: Given the overwhelmingly positive audience reaction to the videos I created for PDD, I see a clear opportunity to strengthen our brand presence. I would use additional time and resources to develop formal design guidelines for video creation, ensuring strong brand representation as we continue to incorporate video into our marketing efforts.
